Celebrating 50 Years of the Greeley Interfaith Association

For 50 years, the Greeley Interfaith Association has brought together people of many faith traditions to serve our neighbors, foster understanding, and strengthen our community.

Greeley Interfaith Association has served as a bridge between faith communities and human service organizations to strengthen Weld County through collaboration, compassion, and service.

Over the past five decades, GIA has played a significant role in helping establish and support many organizations, programs, and community initiatives, including:

• Weld Food Bank

• A Woman’s Place

• Greeley Transitional House (now Greeley Family House)

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• Weld Information and Referral Services (WIRS)

• Guadalupe Center Dinner Meals

• Greeley Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build

• WCGH Chaplaincy Program (now NCMC)

• Salvation Army Saturday Lunch Program

• Room at the Inn

• Holocaust Memorial Observances

• CWS CROP Walk

• Peace Pole

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of GIA’s stewardship of the Clothing Bank, continuing a ministry of caring that began with Church Women United and has served thousands of individuals and families in our community.

We invite faith leaders, human service organization leaders, community partners, volunteers, supporters, donors, and friends to join us as we celebrate the partnerships, service, and shared commitment that have made these milestones possible.
